Saturday: 102 Degrees

Oh, how fun.  The 100 degrees that I had seen forecast yesterday was just not hot enough was it?

So tomorrow I’ll be running 14 miles under excruciating heat.  I’ll pack up my camelbak with enough cold water, hammer gel and maybe finally try out those salt pills.

Either way, it won’t be pretty.

And because that’s not challenge enough, I’m also running my first 5k of 2010:

17 miles in one day under 100+ degree weather?  Uh, that should be interesting…

On brighter news, my parents arrive in town tomorrow afternoon!  Yay!

  1. And I was just about to complain about our 92 degree temp that “feels like” 102. I’ll zip it!

Have fun at the race and with your family!
