More Run Amuck Pictures!

I have already posted a race report and pictures of the Run Amuck here, but now Marathon Photo has posted the official race pictures…  And yes, I look super girly crossing one of the mud pits in their pictures too.  *sigh*

Nikki, Hugi and I pre-race:

It looks like my hair is trying to EAT ME.

And here it is, the girly pose…  I almost look like a butterfly, ready to take off…
This is one that was stuck in the lost and found and I was able to locate…  Good thing, because it’s priceless!  I love the shocked look on my face “I’m so covered in mud!”
And of course, Hugi and I sprinting to the finish line!  This is the second picture of me EVER where I have both feet off the ground at the same time.  We almost look like real runners!!!  (And here you can clearly see what I mean when I say my arms look horrible with my strapless wedding dress!  All that flab!  I need Hugi’s arms, stat!)

On a final note, this morning I woke up super early, and couldn’t go back to sleep.  So I did the shred again.  Through pain.  My muscles are so sore, it shows how out of shape I am.  And I’m sad to admit that I had to put my 5lb weights down midway through a couple of those exercises because my shoulders just could not handle it anymore.  *hangs head down in shame*

(In my defense, for whatever is worth, I do have weak shoulders due to volleyball and my own stubbornness — when your shoulder gets a sharp pain every time you serve, do not wait a month and a half to go to the doctor when you’re playing for 3 hours a day, 5 times a week, because “you’re too young to have issues.”)

Ha ha! Those are pretty girly arms in that pic, but it’s gotta be better than my tri pics – I look like a dude.

  2. You are covered! So answer me this… which admittedly, is a lame concern for my muddy obstacle race… did you wear your usual running shoes and clothes? I don’t mind if me clothes get muddy, but I’d prefer they not get destroyed… running stuff is expensive!

    • I got some running shoes a few years ago that I hated for running — so I kept them for muddy purposes… They’ve done the Muddy Buddy and two Run Amucks with me as well as a couple of camping trips… I wouldn’t recommend using your regular shoes for this, even if you get them completely cleaned, they get a bit stiff (though one of my friends admitted just throwing them in the washer and dryer and said they’re like new after that, I wouldn’t risk it…)

  3. Undeniably considxer that which you said. Your favvourite justification seemed
too be att the internet the easidst thing tto keep in mind of.
I say to you, I certainly get annoyed even ass other folks consider concerns
that they plainly don’t recognize about. You managed to hit
the nail upon the top as neatly as outline out the whole thing
wthout having side-effects , oher folks could take a signal.
Willl likely be again to get more. Thanks

  4. I ϲould not resist cօmmenting. Well աritten!
