No matter how slow…

Jenn posted some motivational quotes this week, and one really hit home.

As in, it hit home so much I posted it on my facebook wall, and on the side pictures of my blog, by my vanity running pictures…

She didn’t post the source, so I can’t give credit where it’s due, but if that doesn’t make me want to GET UP and GET GOING, I don’t know what does.

It’s been 2 weeks since my last run.  Granted, last time my hip was screaming with every step, so the break was not just due to laziness but to being smart enough to know when I should stop pushing.  But it hasn’t hurt in days…  And here I am, sitting on the couch, typing this.

(Crappy editing credit all mine.  Don’t hate.)

So to make things even more official, on Monday I have my first running date here in the Philippines!  I’m meeting up with Mai Mai straight after work (well, her work) for what will likely be a slow and grueling 5k.  (I don’t think she realizes just how slow I’m capable of running these days…  Sigh.)

But heck, I’m doing it!  Fingers crossed I have found myself a new running buddy!

Maybe this blog can even be about *gasp* running again.

You’ll do a great job! The important part is that you’re getting out there!

  2. Yeahhhhh buddy! 🙂

I found it on kellyolexa.com. She knows where it is at in terms of motivation!

  3. Looking forward to Monday! I myself might not be fit for a 5k so we’ll take it really easy. Short run is better than no run! 🙂

  4. Love this!!!! Exactly. And even when you have a crappy day it can only get one mile, you are still doing something!
