Don’t worry, I promise this blog hasn’t turned into a pregnancy-only blog! I haven’t worked out much lately, so it makes me sad writing about it (I think I’m in the worst shape I’ve ever been, but with lack of sleep, I’m always sooooo fatigued, it’s ridiculous, really…). We’re off to Sydney, Australia, tomorrow, for what is possibly our last trip in this part of the world pre-baby (and maybe even post-baby, until we come back again, of course).
There are still loads of past trips and experiences to write about, I have all the pictures saved, and without traveling I’ll have lots of free time to finally get back to the computer and write. I miss writing here, but guess that along with the too fatigued to work out, I’m also too fatigued to write. It really sucks! Please don’t give up on me quite yet!
How far along? 30 weeks! 10 weeks to go, unless this baby decides to hang in there a bit longer (or surprise us with an early arrival).
Total weight gain/loss: 16.5lbs. Another 3lbs in a week. That’s 6lbs in 2 weeks. Sure, I ate my share of cookies this Christmas (I got into a baking kick), but that doesn’t make it any easier. Some *might* be water weight, since for the first time today my ring didn’t slide right off.
Exercise: My treadmill got ignored yet again. So did the weights. I miss being able to put myself in a routine as before. I wish I could hire a trainer, but when Karl asked around FTX, they had never heard of training someone pregnant! I did go to two aqua aerobics class, though that doesn’t really count, does it?
Measurements: Again those 3lbs went straight to my belly! If I was shocked that it had increased a whole inch last week, imagine my shock that the biggest part of my belly went up another TWO inches this week, measuring at 41.5” – for real. That’s wider than my hips!! My waist went back down to 34” (3/4 of an inch less than last week), so go figure. Baby girl might have just shifted out of place a bit.
Maternity clothes? Maternity shirts and shorts, as always, but non-maternity everything else (no need for maternity dresses, maternity underwear, bathing suits, etc, glad I saved my money there!).
Stretch marks? Still nothing, but lets see how long this belly can last the stretch. Still moisturizing twice a day, and the skin is ridiculously soft. If only I had the patience to moisturize the rest of my body like that!
Sleep: Our AC is not properly cooling, something wrong with the compressor, so though the room is not hot, it doesn’t get cold either, so I’m tossing and turning all night dealing with the heat. As if I wasn’t already having enough problems sleeping… Here’s hoping our bed in Sydney is comfy so I can catch up a bit!
Best moment this week: Christmas. I love Christmas. And I did lots of baking, which I like, but end up eating most of it, hence why I tend to only do it once or twice a year. (The cheesecake was a success! I made a pumpkin one and an oreo one – and made homemade whipped cream for both, but peanut butter whipped cream for the oreo!).
Miss Anything? Sleep. Not being so tired all the time. Not feeling so uncomfortable all the time.
Movement: She has quieted down a lot, but Dr Google tells me it’s normal when she’s bigger.
Food cravings: Still sweets. Like McDonald’s caramel sundae… Hmmmm… (Here in the Philippines they do double caramel too! Dangerous!)
Anything making you queasy or sick: The lack of sleep is making me have not-so-great moments all the time.
Have you started to show yet: I think my belly is definitely a pregnant belly at this point. I’m ginormous. I can’t even imagine getting even bigger than this. Let’s hope I won’t have a hard time boarding the plane tomorrow (I do have a doctor’s note).
Labor Signs: A bit of cramping in the last couple of days.
Belly Button in or out? Still an innie. Good thing it was super deep before, because it continues to get stretched out, but still hanging in there. There’s a dark ring around the top of it, about half an inch from the outer edge, and that “ring” is where the outer edge used to be. Quite creepy looking, if you tell me!
Wedding rings on or off? On, but it was a bit tight getting it off today.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody.
Looking forward to: Sydney, Australia, here we come! Not looking forward to the plane trip, I dread them nowadays, and an 8 hour flight is way past my limit at this point, but hoping for the best.
